Here’s My Go-To Stretching Routine Video
Disclaimer:
Although I am a certified fitness professional, I do not claim to be an expert on stretching!
However, I’ve received a lot of requests via my Live Lean TV channel to show the viewers my stretching routine.
Flexibility is a major component to overall fitness and health. I admit, I am very strategic with my workouts and my diet, but I tend to let my flexibility slide.
I’d love to take some yoga classes if any of your yogi’s out there want a new student!
So as I mention in my video below, I train legs very hard via workouts and sports. It’s the one body part that I really hammer away at! With that said, this is where I’m most tight (hamstrings, glutes, quads, hips, and lower back).
Based on my personal needs, the following stretching routine workout video shows me going through a few different moves to help loosen up these tight spots.
Watch My Stretching Routine video below!
The tool that I used in the above video is called a Foam Roller.
It’s a self-myofasial release tool to loosen up and massage out a few trigger points. Be sure to watch the above video to see how I use it.
I really recommend you get you (purchase one by clicking here) or use the one at your fitness center.

Love my foam roller! I did a similar video because so many people don’t know what to do with it. Very effective tool and way cheaper than getting a deep tissue massage every day!

My foam roller is my best friend! I even have a little travel one that I can take with me on the road. Another good use for it? As a chest and front deltoid opener. Lie on top of the roller, with it placed directly (and aligned with) your spinal cord. Open arms up to the side as you lift your chest skyward. Go slow, particularly if your shoulders are tight. Pure bliss!
And I really don’t get the ‘Canadian accent’ thing. I’m Canadian too and there’s no way that I have an accent!

The foam roller is…ahh…terrible. I love it, but I hate how much it can hurt! (I admit, though, I never thought to hold it for 30 over the points in which it’s more painful.)
By the way, meant to say before that I love your accent. I have a blast listening to all the FFA’s and how they speak.
