Healthy Hummus Recipe & Video
You’re in for a treat! I’m going to show you how to make a healthy hummus recipe on today’s Live Lean TV episode of Brad’s Cookbook. This healthy hummus recipe is made with real whole food ingredients that will add flavor to your food without adding unhealthy calories.
Put this healthy hummus recipe together as a dip for your veggies or as a healthy condiment spread for your sandwiches or burger toppings.
Healthy Hummus Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 can of chickpeas
- 1 can of black beans
- 1 tbsp tahini
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Dash of spices (cinnamon, cumin, cayenne pepper, chili powder)
- sea salt
- 1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 cup of water
Healthy Hummus Recipe Instructions:
1. Add to blender. Enjoy.
Eat with:
- carrots
- celery
- any other veggies
If you want carbs go with:
- whole wheat pita
- ezekial bread

Can you tell me what type of blender is best to make this hummus. I only have a regular blender, will it still work the same as yours?
Hi Debra, I have a high powered blender that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE. It is so useful and one of the best investments I’ve made in my kitchen. It makes veggie juice, smoothies, pretty much anything. Just throw it in (full apples etc) and it does all the work.

If you just have a standard blender, it may or may not be powerful enough. You’d just have to give it a try.
