Avoid These Chemicals In Your Skin Products [Video]
This is one area of health I’ve been very slack on…monitoring the chemicals I’m putting into my body via my cosmetic/skin products.
Your skin is your largest organ. People often forget (or are not aware) that the skin products you use every day do not typically contain natural ingredients. This means you need to start reading the ingredients on your cosmetic labels as well (just like you’re doing with your food, right?).
In fact, most, as you will soon see, contain a synthetic, estrogen mimicking hormone called xenoestrogens. These chemicals can really take a toll on both male and female hormones.
Here’s what I mean…
They have a huge affect on males testosterone counts. If you want to stay lean and healthy, males should be doing everything they can to maintain testosterone production. I would say that testosterone today in males, is the lowest it’s ever been. This low testosterone is causing even more fat storage, muscle loss, and lack of sexual libido.
These xenoestrogens also negatively affects females. It may cause infertility, thyroid issues, disease and cancer.
Look out for these ingredients in your skin products (shampoo, lotions, toothpaste, etc):
- Parabens (including methyl-paraben and buytl-paraben)
- Sulphates (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Sodium Laureth Sulphate)
- Propylene Glycol & Polyethylene Glycol
These are just a few of the xenoestrogens that I want you to look out for.
